Learning to swim is an important life skill that opens many doors throughout life.
Swimming is not only a great way to keep fit, it also allows children to make the
most of their holidays and could, one day, also save their life (drowning is the
third most common cause of accidental death in children in the UK).
Swimming makes a whole range of sports such as surfing, kayaking or scuba diving accessible. Abingdon Dolphins Swim Club courses could even be the first step into competitive swimming for those with Olympic gold medals in mind!
Abingdon Dolphins Swim Club run swimming lessons for children on a 10 weeks per term, 3 terms per year basis.
Each child receives regular reports from the teacher as well as details of any badges awarded and information and advice about the next step.
Long Distance award days are held once during the year (Normally in July).
We also hold intensive swimming courses during the Easter and Summer school holidays. Fees are paid on a termly basis.
