Teaching fundamental life skills in an interactive, fun and safe environment
For complete beginners who are able to stand clear in .9m water, or those just beginning to gain the confidence to move freely and put their faces in the water. School start age, 4+. NPTS Stage 1, Stage 2.
5m+ swimmers able to move on front and back, becoming confident under water, learning rotation skills. NPTS Stage 2, Stage 3.
For swimmers confident in middle water without aids. Working on basic stroke technique over 10m, emphasising correct kicking patterns, flotation and rotation. NPTS Stage 3, Stage 4.
For children with strong kicking skills in 4 strokes. Developing 4 full strokes over 10m, sculling skills, flotation and rotation.
NPTS Stage 5.
For swimmers able to swim 4 strokes over 10m to ASA standard. Working towards developing 4 full strokes sustained over 25m. Introducing lifesaving skills. Stage 5, Stage 6.
For swimmers able to sustain 25m with correct breathing and coordination for at least 2 strokes, and over 10m for the other 2. Developing all round skills for all Aquatic Disciplines. Stage 7.
For swimmers who have completed Stage 7. Introducing skills used in the sports of Swimming, Diving, Synchro, Water Polo and Lifesaving. Stage 8
For swimmers who have completed Stage 8. Further skills development for the Aquatic disciplines. Stage 9
For swimmers who have completed Stage 7 and wish to work on skills used in competitive swimming, or who have an ambition to join a local Competitive swimming club. (Links with Abingdon Vale Swimming Club) Stages 8,9,10 competitive skills.

Diving lessons take place on Sunday mornings at Radley College Sports Centre.
The class time: 09.30am to 10:00am
This half hour is divided into 2 different levels. Beginners and Improvers. Each class works from the pool side in the diving pit and progresses to board work.
Divers must be able swimmers and deep water confident.
